Race #3

So I haven't been doing so hot with keeping up with my blog so I've decided to take mini-steps back into blogging.

I've run two 5ks now (yay for crossing off something from my list!)  and I'm kind of going back and forth on my third.  When I say running...I don't mean the racing for the finish line kind of running but the....I just want to finish kind.  I suppose you have to start somewhere.

I'm in desperate need of motivation.

I've been running with another teacher from my school, but we live about an hour apart so beyond meeting up for races I don't have anyone to really motivate me.

I just have to keep telling myself that I want this (and the 20 pounds I've lost so far doesn't hurt)

It's been awhile...

So I feel bad...it's been months, literally, since my last post. I kept putting it off thinking my return to Blogger had to be spectacular, and I do have lots to update.

(1) I ran my FIRST 5k...I felt like death but I am doing it again (today actually...)
(2) I am no longer laid off!  Yay for having a job in the fall!

 (3) I am 25...I feel old.

More later!  I promise.

Misc. Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

(1) Today sadly ends my 10 day Easter/Spring Break.  I enjoyed every minute of it but the home stretch until June is going to be killer.

(2) This is the third time I've sounded like a man lost my voice this year.  My students are going to start to wonder if I really sound like this.

(3) I'm really working on this couch to 5k program.  I did do track in HS but I was by no means a 'runner'.  This program takes that into account and is meant for new runners.  I decided to start the program with my former college roommate and its working out well!  I will keep you updated!

(4) In the same vein I have started using the widget from the daily mile to track my workouts.  When I've lost some weight I will start a tab with my weightloss!

(5) Saturday was amazing in the mitten.  It was 75 and gorgeous.  I am ready for summer!

Back to lesson planning I go!

is it bad that I am already ready for the weekend?
